Hello! My name is Courtney Lanagan and I am a new part time marketing specialist at City Uniforms and Linen! I am a 2020 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where I studied Business with a specialization in Marketing. This is my first marketing job out of college, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally be practicing what I love.
In my first couple weeks in this role, I have gotten exposure in many new areas. I started my first day with a plant tour, which was a great way to introduce the company and the products by seeing everything in person and getting a better understanding of the supply chain. I then spent the rest of my day getting acquainted with my marketing counterpart, Ashley. Where we learned we had a lot of common interests and will make a great team.
The rest of my first week I spent getting hands on experience. I have been learning more and more about Adobe Illustrator to create feature images for blog posts. Along with trying to absorb any new information that I can get my hands on.
During my second week I had the honor of traveling to BGSU to go through some details of a new sponsorship City is doing with the University. Going on that trip really immersed me in more of the culture of City as I was able to spend more time with my coworkers and learn about our products as a customer would learn about them. And it was so nice to return to my alma mater with the company that I’m working for. It makes everything come full circle.
I’m very excited to see where my journey at City takes me, I can already tell that the culture here is wonderful and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
