Everyone knows a germaphobe. Let’s be real, during this time of year, we all are at some level. In our business we have 2 people in particular, that are off the chart germaphobes. If anyone else is sick in our business, they literally carry a disinfectant spray around with them and shoot people and anything they touch with it constantly. Dare I say that I have seen them wear face masks and on occasion rubber gloves? No lie…. this is a real thing in our office!

Even though they can become a bit obsessive about germs (to say it nicely), it is not necessarily a bad thing in the workplace.

Several studies have shown around 80% of illnesses, and the bacteria and viruses that cause them, are passed by human contact either directly or indirectly with other people.
One area in work environments that most people automatically assume is crawling with germs is in the restroom. Restrooms can be creepy places, especially when they are used by multiple people in your business throughout the day. Let’s face it; not everyone washes their hands after using the restroom, so they carry whatever they picked up in the bathroom and transfer it to other areas around the workplace.
